Scientific and Educational Visual Communication and Illustration for the CDRterra Programme

I am a visual designer and scientific illustrator trained at École Estienne (Paris) and the Haute École des Arts du Rhin (Strasbourg), with a focus on didactic design. My work consists of translating complex scientific concepts into clear, engaging, and accessible visual forms.

At Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, I work within the CDRterra programme on research related to land-based carbon dioxide removal and broader questions of climate change. As part of the communication team, I develop and maintain the programme’s visual identity, support research communication across 17 consortia and associated projects, and contribute to dissemination and outreach activities.

I am developing a practice-based research approach focused on knowledge transfer and visual mediation. In particular, I explore how logotypes, illustrations, diagrammatic systems, didactic and exhibition design contribute to knowledge production, interdisciplinary exchange, and public engagement.

I occasionally deliver workshops for scientists on the fundamentals of graphic design and visual communication, supporting them in communicating their research more effectively.

Alongside my position at LMU, I collaborate with museums, research institutes, and academic publishers across Europe, including the Natural History Museum (London) and the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), to support the dissemination on environmental and climate research.
